DEI — DEBT EROSION INSOLVENCY

From a cold, hard business standpoint, these diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programmes aren’t just unhelpful. They’re an outright disaster for companies. They swagger in like bullying overseers, heavy-handed and utterly coercive, and lo and behold, firms that once thrived are now nursing painful financial wounds.

Behind closed doors, business leaders and owners are virtually unanimous in their grumbling. They’re fed up with taxpayer money being hijacked to build an elaborate web of ideological enforcement that dictates how private companies must think and operate. Let’s be crystal clear. Shoving political ideology into a free-market system is about as sensible as mixing oil and water. It doesn’t blend. It repels, spectacularly.

So who on earth would deliberately sabotage the greatest wealth-creating engine the world has ever known? Who would cheer as it’s undermined for purely ideological reasons? Because make no mistake. Ideology doesn’t put a single penny on the bottom line. All the evidence now screams that it does precisely the opposite. It erodes profits, scares off investors and cripples competitiveness.

Yet in recent years voters have dutifully installed a parade of utter incompetents to steer governments and safeguard public finances. How’s that working out? It’s high time people snapped awake before the wreckage becomes irreversible.

And here’s the delicious irony. When the West’s avowed enemies sit back, smirking with glee and egging on these very practices, does anyone seriously believe it’s because they’ve suddenly fallen in love with DEI? One quick peek at their own repressive societies exposes the laughable hypocrisy. No, they’re pushing it here because they know full well it weakens us, divides us and drags us down from the inside. In many cases they’ve even bankrolled and amplified the trendy narratives that dupe well-meaning people into applauding the slow-motion sabotage of their own nations.

How utterly priceless. We’re meant to thank them for the “progress” while they toast our decline.

We can no longer pretend this is harmless virtue-signalling. A genuinely free and open society absolutely should encourage tolerance, respect and decent treatment of others. That’s the mark of civilised people. But it must never handcuff a divisive ideology onto private business practices through financial threats and coerced compliance. A genuinely free society runs on voluntary choice, not on sneering coercion dressed up as compassion. It’s glaringly obvious. These damaging ideologies must be rejected root and branch. It’s time to reclaim the robust, common-sense principles that built the most prosperous economies in history. Before the jokers and their cheerleaders finish the job of tearing them down.
